Meet the App Development Team


The HBCU C2 App Development team is a talented group of students who seek to use coding and creativity to create tools that empower their communities. This team consists of students from the participating HBCUs of various backgrounds. The group was founded in September of 2021 and currently consists of 2 project managers, a product manager, a product designer, and three software developers. Over time, we seek to grow this team with a variety of disciplines that can serve in building quality products for our community.

My drive is to be great, impact thousands of people one day, and give my family the life they dream of

Either you go after the life you want or settle for the life you get

Who or what inspires you?
My inspiration comes from my family and striving to see how far in life I can go

What is your greatest achievement?
Receiving the Presidential Academic Scholarship at Prairie View A&M University and graduating with Honors

What drives you to do what you do?
I am driven by the ultimate goal of regretting absolutely nothing in life. I understand that our time here is simply compiled with experiences and I would love to experience the greatest things life has to offer. I am also driven by the thought of being able to provide for my family in the deepest sense and ultimately give back to my family in Ghana

What is your motto?
The grass is green where you water it

Who or what inspires you?
I am inspired by the many who have came before me and have paved the way for me to be where I am today. I am also greatly inspired by the younger generation for always finding exceptional ways to streamline and simplify processes

Being able to build a bridge for the next generation of young black women in my field

The desire to share my knowledge with any and everyone in my community that wants to learn

Who or what inspires you?
My mother has always been one of my biggest sources of inspiration. I've seen her put her all into everything she does and she inspires me to do the same

Consistent, Motivational, Self Driven

What is your greatest achievement?
Earning my bachelor of computer science and becoming a full-time software engineer at Dell Technologies HQ. Additionally, being part of the iOS development team because I learned coding in iOS, self-taught, and being to be able to be a part of a team to make a real app

What drives you to do what you do?
My passion for technology and knowledge has driven me to help others in tech. In the future, I hope I can be able to go back to colleges and speak at panels on how to navigate best in the tech industry as a minority. Being able to think of a problem and solution through code and execute it truly brings more motivation to keep on learning more and giving back to my community

What is your motto?
Life is not a race, it’s about finding the right path and staying on it consistently

Who or what inspires you?
My mom inspired me a lot by being able to bring me as a single mother to America and always to have taught me to push through the barriers helped me achieve to make my dreams come true. It has inspired me always to go harder and give back to my community as I gain experience and knowledge in the tech industry.

I led my senior design team to win first place with our project Panther Go

I love to create and learn new things

What is your motto?
Yo don’t need to be the best, just better than yourself yesterday

Who or what inspires you?
My parents. We came from Nigeria without much, but they worked extremely hard to give my brother a good upbringing and encouraged us in every way. My goal is to make them proud with my achievements

What is your greatest achievement?
Receiving the Gates Scholarship. It's a very competitive scholarship, so it’s surreal for me to have been one of three hundred selected out of the thousands and thousands of people who apply

What drives you to do what you do?
Meeting my goals. It’s always rewarding, after all the hard work dedicated to something, to have it come to fruition and see the end product of whatever I set my mind to.
What is your motto?
Either I will find a way, or I will make one

Who or what inspires you?
Being moreover a visually stimulated, I find inspiration in the world around me
